Shopping Bangkok style

The day started with a healthy breakfast and then..

I met for coffee with a friend who lives in Bangkok in the winter and have done so for many years.
It is always good to have friends around the world and it is nice to see a familiar face in this big and hectic city. Later I decide to explore the big shopping centres in central Bangkok. I didn't actually shop except for a pair of sandals to replier the ones that melted yesterday. The flip-flops I got as a replacement did not really do the job and were very uncomfortable.

This photo was not taken from the top, it was several more floor to go up but I decide it was enough for me. Each floor would have lot of shops selling the same type of items. One floor would have only ladies clothes and another one only mens. One had only shoos which was very useful for me.
One had only accessories and I spotted these cute cat bags there. Maybe something for a nice niece of mine...

A big cat was also part of the Christmas decoration in this shopping centre. I think the cat is a Chinese symbol and Chines culture is present in Bangkok. I plan to visit China Town on Saturday.
An animal often connected with Thailand is of course the elephant and I came across these lovely examples outside Siam Plaza.
